Singapore: Suntec, Singapore Zoo, Night Safari, Fountain of Wealth

Suntec City Mall

In the morning of Day 7, we went to Suntec City Mall to do some shopping. And after taking lunch we took a cab to Singapore Zoo. Cab fare from city center to Singapore Zoo/Night Safari is approximately SGD20.00.

Singapore Zoo

Once we arrived, we bought Zoo and Night Safari ticket combo for SGD30.00 + SGD10.00 for the Night Safari Tram Ride. The Singapore Zoo is very big and beautiful. Aside from the animals, you can see flower gardens and lakes inside. You have to watch the Seal Show.

Night Safari
The Night Safari in Singapore is a MUST SEE. Before we entered Night Safari, we took our dinner in KFC just outside the Singapore Zoo. Then we watched the Tribal show where the dancers did numerous fire tricks. At 7:30pm, we proceeded to watch the Creatures of the Night Show. The cute animals were really trained well to do complicated tricks. After the show, we took the tram ride which I think is the highlight of the Night Safari attraction. The animals roam freely as you ride the tram.

After everything is done, we went immediately to Night Safari's taxi bay and took a cab to Fountain of Wealth - the World's Largest Fountain.

Fountain of Wealth

It's Sunday night and a free light-fountain show is scheduled in Fountain of Wealth in the evening. Before the show, I thought that it is going to be as grand as the Songs of the Sea of Sentosa. I was wrong, the show was merely a very simple laser light-fountain show. But one cute thing about this is that you can have your messages to someone written in the fountain using laser light just like what the locals do.

  2. Hi aqtauro! Thanks for your comment. =)

Must sees in KL: (you can do this in one day)
    Petronas Twin Towers
    Genting Highlands
    Batu Cave

Must do in SG: (2 days)
    Merlion Park
    Chinatown
    Orchard Road
    Duck boat ride
Sentosa Songs of the Sea (night time)
    Night Safari (night time)

For SG, I would suggest that you take Singapore Pass from duck tours (www.ducktours.com.sg). You can register in their booth along Orchard road or in Suntec City near the convention center. For just SGD63, you have 2 days unlimited hop-on hop-off ride and a bunch of other tours which will allow you to explore the city in a fun and wacky way.

I hope you have fun in your vacation. Wisihing you a happy trip! Thanks.
