A bright sunny morning welcomed us as the plane landed in Mactan Airport. The weather is just perfect for beach bumming! I would describe Mactan Cebu International Airport as compact and efficient, we were able to disembark and pick up our luggages in less than 30 minutes time. Although the airport is a bit tired, the festive atmosphere well compensates for it.
The major resorts have booths and lounges right before the exit making it convenient to book transportation to your hotel. Here is the a photo of Shangrila Mactan's airport booth. One way shuttle from airport to Shangrila Mactan costs P150.00 (USD 3.50) per person. According to Shangrila's sales office, you can just drop by there without any advance reservation. Since we have relatives from Cebu fetching us, we did not use Shangrila's shuttle.
There is also a taxi bay outside the airport. A cab ride from Mactan Airport to Shangrila will only take 15 minutes.
